Yet another artist from the overshadowed State of Mississippi that deserves some spotlight, and we're here to shine it! Hailing from Jackson, Ms, Luck has worked with artists such as Boo Rossini, J Money, and many many more. He's a part of the group 1st Up Fam, who have collaborated with down south legends such as Pimp C and Kamikaze of the group Crooked Lettaz, which featured artist David Banner. Ignoring the anti-autotune cries, Luck has created a lane that will surely make him one of the "official" users of the widely "misused" program. This is an ode to a broken heart, a realization that one's past does affect one's future. Wallet is one of those songs you listen to when you reminiscent of a past love. Most 9 year old girls are busy trying to figure out which Barbie figurine to coax their parents into purchasing. Other 9 year old girls usually have female rappers, singers, actresses, or leaders such as The First Lady that they admire and wish they could be like. Well there's a 9 year old rapper from Jackson, Mississippi named Noo Noo that's starting her own trends of being a role model. All the glitz and glamor of music can easily distract grown-up artists, let alone a little girl, but Noo Noo is proof that with the proper people behind you to motivate and correctly guide you, you can achieve anything. Noo Noo aka "Lil Rich Girl" is the product of a family of go-getters. Her father, former Mississippi Rap Artist of the Year, Benz, is a staple in the central Mississippi music scene. With numerous features (such as Yo Gotti, Slim Thug, Bun B, David Banner, etc) and a major history of radio play under his belt, Benz decided to introduce his talented daughter to the hip hop world. When asked how this introduction came about, Benz stated "It all started maybe two years ago. Instead of sending out birthday invitations [on paper] we'd send out "birthday rap songs". "We did one called "My J's" that was so popular I decided to record a single for Noo Noo, a dance song called "Do the Noo Noo", Benz elaborated. The response to "Do the Noo Noo" was so major the single quickly moved to the top of the radio charts in Mississippi. The combination of a seasoned, music industry savvy father, and a witty, innovative 9 year old rapper, has led to the major success of Noo Noo's dance record. With over 100,000 youtube views under her belt, the "Lil Rich Girl" has recently released a album titled after this nickname. Judging from the buzz that this bright young lady has created from her first single, one can only imagine the greatness to follow with the release of her album "Lil Rich Girl", which is available on http://cdbaby.com/cd/NooNoo.
